If you are interested in applying to be on ON THE LOT 2, VPTV is afraid you are going to be disappointed. The finale of the first season of this competition for new film makers from TV Guide and Steven Spielberg's production company aired Aug. 22/07. Ratings weren't great. That they didn't show a new work by any of the directors in either of the last two episodes pretty much convinced VPTV that the producer (Spielberg) had lost his enthusiasm for the project. There has been no talk of a 2nd season and, at least for the time being, this competition series has been shelved
