Season 1 of Lifetime’s reality competition AMERICA'S PSYCHIC CHALLENGE premiered October 12/07. Sixteen contestants who claimed to be clairvoyant had to prove their abilities by participating in competitions designed to test their psychic powers, with 2 contestants eliminated at the end of each episode. Casting for the first 8 episode run ended Aug. 16/07.

Season 1 did well enough in the ratings that the producer solicited applications to be on AMERICA'S PSYCHIC CHALLENGE 2 until December/07. However, Lifetime surprisingly did not renew the series for the 2008-2009 season.
